Enterprise in Action at Key Stage 4

Having been challenging young people from across the UK to explore their skills in creating new businesses for the last 20 years, we are well placed to help schools deliver the requirements of Key Stage 4 Enterprise Education within their Work-Related Learning programmes.

We offer:

Expertise to project manage one to two day Enterprise in Action events within school for a whole year group that give students the opportunity to:

Working in "companies" of about eight of all abilities and aptitudes, assisted by an adult adviser, students find and start to develop skills beyond those taught in the usual curriculum. They will learn to convince and excite others about their ideas and face the practical problems and requirements of managing a business.

These programmes work towards meeting the criteria of work related learning. They aim to explore and develop many of the skills valuable for both higher education and future employment through stimulating, hand-on work-related activities.

We cover the two key concepts of "Learning for Work" and "Learning about "Work".

We assist schools in meeting the challenge to explore the key areas of:
Business Enterprise in Action

The six key skills of communication, application of number, information technology, problem solving, working with others and improving own learning and performance, are also recognised as important components of employability.

We would hope to inspire young people to consider enterprise and entrepreneurship as a future career option. We work towards creating a culture where enterprise can be an option for everyone. We believe that it is essential to develop young people's understanding of, and enthusiasm for, enterprise, innovation and business creation as much as any other area of the core curriculum.
